Web streams use a locking model to prevent multiple consumers from interleaving reads. When you call getReader(), the stream becomes locked. While locked, nothing else can read from the stream directly, pipe it, or even cancel it — only the code that is actually holding the reader can.
If you’d rather have one, much larger network in your home, you’re better off upgrading to mesh networking systems. Mesh systems come with a main router and a wireless access point or two that, by default, create one large Wi-Fi system that should be accessible throughout your whole home.
